The Whitby Area Development Trust is an independent registered charity which aims to promote the social, economic and environmental sustainability and community cohesion of the area, while retaining and enhancing its heritage, culture, unique character and sense of place.
As well as initiating and developing new projects, it works in partnership with others to achieve results in a wide variety of fields as shown in the ‘Egg diagram’ (below).
The topics and linkages are considered to be important to the area and the Trust hopes to ‘incubate’ more of these ‘eggs’ and then work in partnership to find the most effective way of helping them hatch.
